Ductair is working hard to manage its impact on the environment by taking steps to ensure it is carbon measured, minimised and managed

Step 1 : Carbon Measured

Carbon Measurement - which Ductair has completed - involved fully calculating the carbon emission situation as it pertains to Ductair.

First, the scoping of the emission reduction program was completed, to set a level of attention and performance that Ductair can fulfill.

This was followed by a complete carbon emissions audit of Ductair's manufacturing, office and fleet facilities, to precisely ascertain current emission levels.

Finally, Ductair worked to determine the best Carbon Reduction policy to put into action.

Step 2 : Carbon Reductions

Carbon Reductions - which Ductair is currently undertaking - involves finding the many ways to actually reduce the level of carbon emissions that results from Ductair's operations.

First, this means establishing an operational plan to progressively reduce carbon emissions.

Second, we are constructing a schedule and an action plan, to implement emission reducing changes that can be made on a daily basis.

Finally, Ductair is instituting an ongoing management process, including the continued measurement of carbon emissions, to track our progress in reducing emissions and our impact on the planet.

Step 3 : Carbon Offsets

Ductair's Carbon Neutral status is achieved by Pangolin Associates assessing and calculating the greenhouse gas emissions associated with our organisation's Gasoline, Diesel, LPG, and Electricity usage, Flights, Waste sent to Landfill, Taxi usage, Telecommunications, Internet usage, Office Paper, Postage, Printing and Freight (scope 1,2 and 3 emissions) for the 2009 -2010 financial year. The calculated emissions are then offset by the purchase and retirement of the required number of Voluntary Carbon Units issued under the Voluntary Carbon Standard Program.

Ductair is committed to carbon neutrality and will continue to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions where possible, conduct annual assessments and offset the identified emissions with certified carbon credits.
