Why do Government regulations vary region to region and what does this mean?
As local climate conditions vary based on geography and weather patterns, so too do Government Building regulations need to vary to reflect these local climate changes.
There is also the issue of jurisdictions - Federal, State and Local Governments - which all tend to tackle different building code related issues.
For example, the Federal Government is currently developing a carbon emissions cap-and-trade program which have direct effects on ducting requirements. State Governments tend to tackle standards, specifications and the life, while Local Governments are tasked with building site regulations and approvals.
